Jan Olsson has served as a police officer for 35 years, with the past 17 years dedicated to combating internet-related crime. As a national expert in fraud, he played a key role in establishing the National Fraud Center (NBC) in 2013. For the past seven years, he has focused on preventive efforts and operational development at the National Operative Police Authority (Noa) and the Swedish Cybercrime Center (SC3).

Jan strongly advocates for cross-border cooperation as a crucial element in combating cybercrime. He emphasizes the importance of international Public-Private Partnerships within Europe and serves on the boards of organizations such as ECCFI and the MRC’s Law Enforcement Commission.
A highly sought-after speaker, Jan regularly delivers lectures across Europe and the United States, from Mexico City to Svalbard. His expertise covers a broad range of topics, including cybercrime, fraud, digitalization, and practical strategies for safeguarding individuals and businesses against online threats.
In addition to his public engagements, Jan actively participates in international law enforcement collaborations with Europol, Interpol, and ENISA. He also represents Sweden in strategic initiatives and European projects focused on preventive cooperation, for example InterCOP.
